“Experience changes the brain.” Jerome Kagan
Here are just some of the comments from recent group participants:
“The workshop sharply reduced my fear and gave me the tools to deal with it. I gained much more from this than many other previous therapies.”
“The workshop was excellent. It gets you out of your comfort zone and, in order to grow and develop, you need to take that step.”
“I gained the confidence that I could actually speak in front of others. It made me face my fears. I have a long way to go but the workshop pushed me beyond my fear.”
“I learned to have a different attitude about public speaking. And I now have the reinforcement to support this new direction.”
“Being able to practice in a supportive setting made all the difference.”
I hope you will decide to join us for my upcoming workshop in May as this will be a very positive and powerful step in helping you make progress with this challenge. If you have been on the fence about this, I urge you to make the choice to attend – I guarantee, you will not regret it! I have heard so many people in past years say that they only wished they had done the workshop earlier rather than put it off, which is often part of the general avoidance pattern related to this fear (which most of us know all too well).
If you have any questions or concerns about the workshop before signing up, please contact me at jesposito@performanceanxiety.com. If you have any routine questions about the workshop, or would like some references to contact, please be in touch with Mary at mary@performanceanxiety.com and she will be happy to provide you with further information.
If you know you would like to attend, please do yourself a favor and visit www.performanceanxiety.com/order.htm as soon as possible to sign up. Attending this workshop is one of the best investments you can make in yourself to help you overcome this fear.
Please read on for some information about the workshop and be sure to sign up VERY SOON to get the Early Bird Discount and an additional discount I am offering for a limited time only!
In honor of my new book, Getting Over Stage Fright: A New Approach to Resolving Your Fear of Public Speaking and Performing, I’ve redesigned my original workshop to reflect the very best of what I offered in that workshop, with the addition of some very valuable new segments that will help you put into practice the principles and techniques of my new book. (I will be asking you to read my Getting Over Stage Fright book prior to the workshop so you can be ready to apply what you are learning right from the start.)
This workshop is perfect for both those who have attended my original No More Stage Fright workshop and for those who have not yet taken one of my workshops. Everyone will benefit and each of you will find this workshop extremely valuable in helping you make significant progress with your speaking or performing challenges.
Now, I know most of you would like me to hold a workshop in your city or town so that it would be most convenient to attend.
If only you were all living in the same place, I would be happy to do that…though this is clearly not the case. The fact is, you are all spread out in various parts of the country (and abroad)!
I even took a survey to see if there were certain locations that most of you wanted to see the workshop held but your responses were wide and varied so I decided to go back to the drawing board and choose my usual Connecticut location for now.
While I know that Connecticut may be quite a distance for many of you, I can assure you, the workshop is definitely going to be worth the trip! (I have heard this many, many times from those who have traveled long distances to come to my workshops in the past, including those who have even traveled from abroad. The person who has traveled the furthest to come to my workshop thus far came all the way from South Africa!!)
The workshop will offer some powerful learning and practice opportunities in a very safe and supportive setting, so that you will be able to take your progress to the next level.
My goal is to have you strengthen and reinforce the methods you are learning as much as possible in the workshop so you can more easily access and apply them when you return back home to face any speaking or performing challenges .
I am also offering something NEW – a follow-up group coaching call 1, 3, and 6 months out from the workshop to help provide a continuity of support, connection, and accountability to help you sustain the powerful effects of the workshop.
This offer adds amazing added value to the workshop at no extra cost…you can’t beat that!
The key is to give you the maximum support for creating a lot of positive speaking or performing experiences in the workshop, and to help you sustain your progress afterward so that you can experience a significant shift in your feelings and experiences with speaking or performing.
In addition to the practice sessions at the workshop, I will provide hands-on coaching before and after each exercise. I will also facilitate powerful group discussions to help you learn a much better approach to handle this fear so it becomes much more manageable and more of a non-issue in your life.
It has been a truly powerful and transformative experience for those who have attended any of my past workshops and I know it will be just as powerful and transformative for you, too – and even more so with the changes I have made to the workshop.
Here are just some of the benefits you will receive from participating:
- Having many practice opportunities for speaking or performing in a safe and supportive group setting
- Being among others who fully and deeply understand what you are going through
- Having a chance to share experiences and learn and grow with like-minded others and not feel so alone with this challenge
- Benefiting from group coaching throughout the weekend as you step up to participate in each exercise
- Learning an approach that works to reduce anticipatory anxiety as you await a speaking or performing situation
- Learning how to better manage any anxiousness that arises the moment you step up to speak or perform or during a speaking or performing experience
- Learning to relax and feel more comfortable in your own skin while speaking or performing
- Learning to be more natural and authentic as a speaker or performer
- Learning to build more confidence and trust in yourself with speaking or performing
- Breaking old, bad habits related to avoidance and learning to do the proper mental preparation so you can clean the slate and have a fresh new start
If any of this sounds good to you, I urge you to take action now and sign up for the workshop here: www.performanceanxiety.com/order.htm.
Here are some more things that participants from previous workshops have said about their workshop experience – see further comments about the workshop at www.performanceanxiety.com/testimonials.htm.
This has been an unbelievable experience. For the first time in 15 years, I feel like I can manage this problem. Thank you!
G.M., Sales Manager
I cannot express how affirming and life-changing this workshop has been. I’ve found success where I never knew it before and learned techniques that I will carry with me throughout life.
C.M., Attorney
Thank you so, so much. I can't begin to tell you how much this was exactly what I needed. I've taken a lot of seminars and workshops. This was, hands down, the best and most valuable one I've ever experienced.
L.L., President/CEO, Travel Business
Janet's class is tremendous! You will not find a more supportive environment in which to overcome your stage fright. Her insight and suggestions, along with the hands-on experience, make this class like no other class of its kind! Attending Janet's class was the best thing I have done for myself!
E.L., Clinical Scientist, Pharmaceutical Firm
These classes are the greatest gift I have ever given myself. I only wish I had the courage to do it sooner! Understanding the fear and working through it in a safe, supportive environment has had a positive impact on many areas of my life - not only public speaking!
D.G., Manager, Technology Firm
I want to reward you for taking action right away and not avoiding or procrastinating, which is so easy and tempting to do, I know! Be sure to sign up NOW so you can take advantage of the Early Bird Rate. And, if you sign up by Monday, March 15, you can take another $25 off the Early Bird Rate - just note “Taking Quick Action” in the Comment Section and my assistant will discount your fee by another $25 (for a full $50 off the regular fee!). You won’t want to miss this additional discount if you are planning to attend.
If you miss the extra discount (good through March 15) and the early Bird Rate (good for one month or more prior to the workshop), you will need to pay full fee for the workshop (which is still a bargain relative to many professional workshops that you might attend).
One thing to note is that we only have a limited number of spots available for the workshop, and then we put people on a waiting list after that.
So, if you know you would like to attend, please do yourself a favor and visit www.performanceanxiety.com/order.htm as soon as possible to sign up. Attending this workshop is one of the best investments you can make in yourself to help you overcome this fear.
And, there is no risk to sign up as I offer a full money-back guarantee if you are not fully satisfied with your experience by the end of the first day.
The most common thing I hear from past participants is the wish that they had just done it earlier rather than delayed coming to a workshop. So, why not learn from the experience of others and reap the benefits from the workshop now, rather than wait?
I hope to see you at the upcoming workshop and will do EVERYTHING in my power to help make this one of your most positive and transformative experiences ever!
I look forward to meeting you in May!
Warmest Wishes,
Janet |
